Revvity Auto-Pure 2400: 3D Animation for Diagnostic Automation


Project Overview

For global life science leader Revvity, we developed a comprehensive 3D visualization and product animation for the Auto-Pure 2400 - an automated system designed to streamline the T-SPOT.TB workflow for tuberculosis diagnostics. The instrument automates PBMC extraction and cell isolation, processes that are technically demanding, time-sensitive, and only partially visible during normal operation. The goal was to capture the operational logic and engineering precision of the Auto-Pure 2400 in a way that supports Revvity's global marketing teams across digital campaigns, virtual exhibitions, and direct sales presentations.

The Challenge

The Auto-Pure 2400 operates in a high-stakes clinical context: tuberculosis diagnostics, where the reliability of sample processing directly affects test results. The challenge was to communicate this reliability visually - to show that the automation is not just convenient but essential for consistent, accurate outcomes. The instrument has a transparent enclosure that gives a partial view of the internal mechanisms during operation. But partial is the key word. What the eye can see through the casing tells only part of the story. The animation goes further - showing the precise sequence of cell isolation and PBMC extraction steps in full detail, at the right scale, with the right pacing to make the process genuinely understandable. An additional challenge was audience range. The animation needed to work for laboratory scientists who understand cell separation technology, as well as for procurement managers and marketing teams who need to understand why automation matters in TB diagnostics without a technical background.

Our Solution

We created a photorealistic 3D animation that maps the complete sample processing workflow from start to finish - showing the instrument's exterior, then progressively revealing the internal mechanisms responsible for PBMC extraction and cell isolation. The visual approach prioritized clarity and precision over spectacle. Clean lighting, accurate materials, and controlled camera movement reflect the clinical environment in which the Auto-Pure 2400 operates. Every internal sequence was built from technical documentation to ensure that what the animation shows corresponds to what the instrument actually does. The result is a visual narrative that makes a complex automated workflow immediately understandable - for any audience, in any sales or marketing context.

What This Project Required
